Position Summary:



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our client's team. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects in line with the client’s requirements.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management within the heavy industrial sector.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale plant shutdowns and complex industrial projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Oil & Gas, Mining & Industrial, Pulp & Paper, and Power Generation industries.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific health, safety, and environmental regulations.




Key Responsibilities:



Project Planning:


  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.



Project Execution and Control:


  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure project targets are being met.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, including budget, schedule, and quality, and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Conduct risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Manage project changes, including scope, schedule, and costs.



Team Management:


  • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring that the project objectives are communicated clearly.
  • Provide direction and support to the project team.
  • Evaluate and develop the skills of team members.



Compliance and Safety:


  • Ensure that all projects are delivered in compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and client specifications.
  • Prioritize and enforce safe work practices to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.



Client Relationship Management:


  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Negotiate with clients and suppliers to obtain resources and materials as needed.




Working Conditions:


  • The role may involve working in harsh environments and may require travel to different project sites.
  • Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
