If so, come join us and help redefine the Canadian banking landscape Overview What you will be doing: The Senior Manager, Vendor Risk Management & Scrum Master is responsible for managing a squad focused on vendor onboarding, offboarding, and third-party risk management (TPRM) for a transformation project at Tangerine. You will serve as the scrum master of a cross-functional team including Procurement, Vendor Risk Management, and the Project Delivery Lead – to ensure all workstreams are aligned and processes run smoothly. You will be responsible for preparing executive-level reports and governance materials for senior leadership. As the senior manager, you will ensure comprehensive business controls are in place to reinforce a strong risk and controls environment, following appropriate risk governance framework and policies. This is a temporary full-time role for a 12-month period. Responsibilities In this role, you will: Manage all aspects of the vendor relationship which includes vendor onboarding/ offboarding, regular contract lifecycle management, project management, issue, and SLA (service level agreement) management Develop strong relationships with Tangerine Risk Owners, acting as the first line third party risk advisor and serving as the primary conduit between the Risk Owners and the Second Line of Defense. Assist contract owners in completing vendor onboarding, third-party contract risk assessments and due diligence activities to mitigate third party risk Responsible for assessing, monitoring and mitigating risks associated with third-party vendors Ensure all external service providers comply with the Global Third-Party Risk Management policies and frameworks ensuring consistency across the Tangerine business units and third-party vendors Provide program and governance reporting to senior management and respective committees Continuously identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and enhancements of risk identification and management policies and processes, focusing on third party risk and vendor management Scrum Master Responsibilities Provide structured facilitation of Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives. Ensure the team remains organised, adheres to established Scrum principles, and maintains transparency on progress. Monitor and follow up on action items to drive accountability and timely delivery. Ensure cross-functional collaboration and effective stakeholder engagement to drive alignment, support decision-making, and facilitate successful delivery of program objectives Prepare high-quality presentations and strategic dashboards tailored for senior leadership, including SVP-level reporting, to support informed decision-making and communicate program status effectively. Contribute to Steering Committee updates and other executive forums by preparing clear, concise, and impactful materials that support governance and oversight. Oversee the collection, validation, and consolidation of data to generate actionable insights that inform decision-making. Design and maintain dashboards and produce comprehensive reports to provide stakeholders with accurate and timely information. Qualifications Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills to rapidly assess problem situations. Strong knowledge of operational risk, regulations (OSFI Guidelines E-21, E-13, B-10), and internal policies & procedures impacting banking operations. Demonstrates creativity and adaptability when identifying solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate on a broad spectrum (from deep technical discussions to high level executive vision). Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and relationships management skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives. Demonstrates proactivity and accountability. Thorough knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. University degree or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in financial services.
