For more information on our firm check out our website at Summary The HR Coordinator is a detail-oriented professional who supports all aspects of the HR function while promoting the company’s values and culture. This role provides transactional HR support, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits, health and safety, and other initiatives. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate personnel records and HR systems, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal regulations. The HR Coordinator fosters positive relationships between management and employees to create a respectful, collaborative work environment and performs additional duties as needed to support organizational goals. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment & Employee Life Cycle Coordinate job postings, interviews, and candidate selection. Participate in interviews, conduct phone screens, reference checks, and exit interviews as required. Prepare employment contracts and amendments in accordance with company standards. Plan and deliver onboarding for new employees. Plan and deliver offboarding for departing employees, including benefits termination, HRIS updates, and separation documentation. Attend career fairs and on-campus career events. Assist with coordination and support of campus recruitment initiatives, including, planning, logistics, and onsite execution. Human Resources Support Assist in the execution of HR processes, procedures, and policies. Collaborate effectively with payroll to maintain accurate and timely information. Maintain employee files and documentation through consistent scanning, filing, and record management. Administer and maintain HR software and operational systems (HRIS, personnel files, etc.). Utilize effective organizational and time management systems to track activities and ensure timely completion of projects. Talent Management Support managers on interpreting and applying policies, programs, and best practices. Communicate policies, job duties, working conditions, and career opportunities to employees when required. Assist with progressive discipline processes and maintain accurate documentation, when required. Total Rewards Assist in the performance management process by conducting analysis, performing research, and contributing to the development of tools and strategies that drive employee growth and organizational effectiveness. Support compensation planning by conducting research, analyzing market data, and preparing recommendations to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices. Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, coordinate employee enrolment and life changes. Liaise with benefit providers and ensure timely communication of updates and deadlines. Employee Engagement & Communications Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with all employees. Assist with brand awareness and recruitment strategy initiatives. Assist with coordination of internal communications including announcements, HR updates, and policy updates. Assist with organizing employee recognition programs and firm‑wide events. Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Human Rights Act and Employment Standards Act. Compile and analyze HR metrics and reports, including turnover, training hours, and leave balances. Additional Responsibilities Conduct oneself in a friendly, professional manner, demonstrating courtesy, consideration, thoughtfulness, confidentiality, and self‑control in all aspects of the role. Participate in relevant huddles and offer suggestions/recommendations to increase office process efficiencies. Continuously expand and update professional knowledge and skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity. Positively represent the firm in the community in actions and participation in events, committees, organizations etc. that are of interest to you. Actively contribute as a team player, supporting colleagues and assisting when needed, even outside of specific job responsibilities. Perform work with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency. Education and Experience Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 2 years of related experience in a Human Resources support or generalist role Strong knowledge of full‑cycle recruitment and leading candidate experience. Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of employees and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with different managers, candidate personalities, etc. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Excellent in all MS Office (Office, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) Salary will commensurate with education, experience and job performance.
