As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be selling lighting, electrical and industrial safety supplies to businesses throughout the Greater Toronto Area. You will be responsible for developing new business as well as strengthening existing customer relationships. This position includes a base salary of $80,000 and the ability to earn $110,000 in the first year.

Average order ranges from $350 to $500,000

Sales cycles range from immediate to 2 years

TYPICAL DAYS AND DUTIES

10% Prospecting/cold calling for new clients

50% calling on existing and past clients and identifying new opportunities /Closing

40% New business development

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

A base salary of $80K depending on experience

Commissions

First-year OTE potential - $110,000

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

2 – 7 years of outside sales experience developing new businesses and growing existing ones.

2 + years selling a similar/commodity-type product(s) with multiple SKUs.

Preference is given to those with electrical/plumbing/construction backgrounds.

EDUCATION

Post-secondary or professional experience equivalent

Electrical Apprentice/Electrical Technician background would be a plus
