The Sales & Marketing Manager will have various responsibilities aimed at optimizing sales performance and fostering strong relationships within the market. Through weekly meetings and collaborations with the sales team, alignment with business objectives is ensured while nurturing their growth and development. By maintaining a keen awareness of market needs and consumer trends, strategic decision-making and identification of growth opportunities are facilitated. Managing listing and marketing applications to Liquor Boards, overseeing chain account listings, and participating in key meetings further solidify the presence and relationships within the industry. Collaborating closely with internal teams ensures seamless execution of sales and marketing tactics, optimizing inventory availability and pricing scenarios.



Responsibilities:


  • close communication with the sales team through weekly meetings and work-withs to ensure business goals are met.
  • and grow sales team to their highest potential.
  • a street-level perspective on business to identify market needs, sales needs, and consumer trends.
  • and manage listing and marketing applications to Liquor Boards (BC).
  • chain account listings and limited-time offer (LTO) calendars.
  • in meetings with Liquor Boards and Chain Accounts with VP of Sales and Managing Partners, developing relationships with key contacts.
  • routine assessments with key accounts to evaluate performance and pinpoint growth opportunities.
  • closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure inventory availability for programmed SKUs and collaborate with the Business & Costing Analyst to optimize costing scenarios and ensure accurate pricing.
  • quarterly sales presentations and sales materials.
  • quarterly goals and targets in tandem with Sales Managers, reviewing portfolio opportunities and new product options.
  • and nurture strong connections with essential on-premise and retail partners.
  • closely with internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of sales and marketing tactics.
  • and deliver regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and account activities.
  • impactful sales strategies to not only meet but exceed revenue objectives.
  • prominent showcasing of products across all pivotal accounts.
  • and engage in promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications:


  • a University Degree or Technical Certificate
  • years of related experience of leading sales teams within Beer and/or Spirits/Wine
  • history of surpassing sales objectives and delivering results.
  • strong analytical skills, including the capability to analyze sales trends in the market and make informed business decisions based on this information.
  • in organizational skills, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
  • a robust customer orientation, featuring adept negotiation and mediation skills, along with the ability to motivate others towards mutually beneficial sales objectives.
  • strong team player qualities, fostering a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and collaboration with clients, management, peers, and subordinates.
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with key decision-makers and customers both internally and externally.
  • proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and desktop publishing programs.
  • about the alcoholic beverage industry, with a genuine passion for its products and market trends.
  • comprehension of the on-premise and retail market dynamics in BC
