About the Role Valsoft Corporation is seeking an experienced and dynamic Portfolio Finance Director to join our team. Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, this individual will oversee all financial operations for a portfolio of acquired companies, including period‑end close, budgeting and forecasting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role will play a key part in business integrations, ensuring accurate financial analysis, implementing best practices, and leading finance‑related projects. This role is critical in supporting Valsoft’s rapid growth model and maintaining strong financial performance across multiple businesses. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze performance strategies to identify opportunities and develop action plans to exceed financial targets. Drive financial planning by analyzing performance and portfolio risks using KPI frameworks. Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews with results, remediation plans, and strategic recommendations. Build and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts; track KPIs. Monitor financial health and ensure positive cash flow. Develop strategies to improve ROI and profitability. Maintain strong relationships with corporate finance. Participate in acquisition and divestiture processes. Apply Valsoft Finance best practices across the portfolio. Serve as the finance lead for newly acquired companies. Oversee and review accounting tasks including tax and compliance. Own the monthly financial close process for portfolio companies. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Build processes ensuring compliance with corporate policies and reporting requirements. Manage differences between consolidation policies and statutory reporting. Ensure strong internal controls; evaluate and optimize policies and procedures. Improve internal reporting efficiency. Support corporate audits and lead annual statutory audits. Ensure timely completion of all filings. Set targets and supervise accounting and finance personnel (Accounting, FP&A, AR, AP). Build and develop a high‑performing finance team in a decentralized environment. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Train and coach team members to ensure they have the knowledge and tools to succeed. Support NetSuite rollout and ensure data integrity. Conduct system assessments, identify automation opportunities, and direct implementations. Improve financial systems and related processes. Develop and execute financial integration and onboarding plans for new acquisitions. Lead ERP implementations, account mapping, reporting rollouts, and governance standards. Establish and maintain monthly reporting cadences and verify deliverable accuracy. Identify and remediate differences in accounting policies. Prepare purchase price allocations and ensure accuracy of opening balance sheets. Calculate and monitor deferred acquisition payments. Create first bottom‑up forecasts with newly acquired businesses. Apply Valsoft KPI management framework across integrations. Who You Are A strategic, analytical finance leader who thrives in a fast‑paced and rapidly scaling environment. Qualifications CPA designation with a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in a similar role, including 3+ years of team management. Strong understanding of internal controls and ability to balance efficiency with compliance. Experience supporting business integrations with the ability to navigate conflicting stakeholder needs. Fast learner with strong time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite (or similar ERP). Strong process‑improvement and system‑thinking capabilities. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Advanced MS Excel skills. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Nice‑to‑Haves Experience in a decentralized finance environment. Background in vertical market software or M&A. Exposure to buy‑and‑hold investment models. Prior involvement in global statutory audits and financial consolidations.
