Base pay range CA$110,000.00/yr - CA$125,000.00/yr Director of Finance We’re excited to be assisting our client, a respected non‑profit organization serving communities in West Toronto, in the search for a Director of Finance. This is a permanent role and is primarily in office in West Toronto, and will be moving to a hybrid model after 6 months. About the Role: Reporting to the VP of Corporate Services, the Director of Finance will lead the finance team and oversee all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and reporting. This position plays a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, financial compliance, and informed decision‑making at the leadership level. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily operations of the finance department and manage staff performance Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Manage budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes Monitor financial performance, identify risks/opportunities, and provide recommendations Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions Manage external and internal audits Maintain banking relationships and cash flow management Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls Mentor and support finance staff in professional growth Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field CPA designation or equivalent preferred Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role within the non‑profit or public sector Strong knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning Familiarity with GP Dynamics strongly preferred Skilled in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines Knowledge of primary health care or mental health sectors considered an asset Seniority level Director Employment type Full‑time Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Hospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
