OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Dynatrace Specialist to support the DevOps and Automation function in delivering reliable, high-performance, and observable large-scale distributed systems. This role is focused on leveraging Dynatrace’s full-stack capabilities to monitor critical transactions, detect anomalies, and enable business-level observability aligned to SLOs and SLIs. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on SRE with deep Dynatrace expertise who is comfortable working independently, driving root cause analysis, and establishing monitoring and reliability standards across complex enterprise environments. Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days in office) Contract Length: February 9, 2026 – June 30, 2026 Extension: Likely Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST Pay Rate: IC $97CAD/hr T4 84/h RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor application flows and critical transactions to identify anomalies, performance degradation, and errors. Leverage Dynatrace to enhance reporting and observability for critical business transactions. Ensure the reliability, performance, and accuracy of business-level dashboards and service health views. Configure and maintain Dynatrace OneAgents, ActiveGates, dashboards, synthetic monitoring, Real User Monitoring (RUM), and distributed tracing. Develop custom alerting rules, anomaly detection configurations, and service‑level dashboards aligned to SLOs and SLIs. Build end‑to‑end observability solutions using Dynatrace full‑stack monitoring capabilities. Establish performance baselines, analyze trends, and identify optimization opportunities. Integrate Dynatrace with CI/CD pipelines, ticketing systems, and incident management platforms. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using Dynatrace and drive long‑term remediation strategies. Define and enforce service‑level objectives (SLOs) and reliability standards for critical systems. Develop and document internal best practices for monitoring, tracing, and performance engineering. QUALIFICATIONS 3–5 years of direct, hands‑on experience with Dynatrace. Strong expertise across all Dynatrace phases, including infrastructure monitoring, synthetic monitoring, RUM, OS, database, and incident management. Extensive experience integrating Dynatrace with ServiceNow. Advanced experience leveraging Dynatrace Davis AI to its full potential. Strong knowledge of Dynatrace Service Reliability Guardian (SRG), workflows, defining guardians and objectives, and integrations with JIRA and ServiceNow. Experience integrating SRG into deployment pipelines to enforce go/no‑go decisions. Strong experience with Dynatrace WCCS (Gen‑3 dashboards) from a business‑centric perspective, enabling true end‑to‑end observability. Deep understanding of SRE golden signals across application, web, database tiers, with the ability to configure alerts and thresholds aligned to SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs. Proficiency with Dynatrace DQL. NICE TO HAVE SKILLS Experience within a financial institution or regulated enterprise environment. Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
