Position Overview: As a Blockchain/Web3 Specialist, you will play a key role in building and deploying decentralized applications (dApps), smart contracts, and blockchain-based solutions. You will work closely with our product, engineering, and design teams to create next-generation solutions for our clients. If you are passionate about Web3 technologies, decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, and building secure blockchain infrastructures, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Solana, Binance Smart Chain, etc.) Develop and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) with a focus on security and scalability Integrate Web3 technologies such as MetaMask, WalletConnect, and IPFS into front-end applications Collaborate with teams to understand product requirements and implement blockchain solutions Implement blockchain protocols and algorithms while ensuring adherence to best practices Conduct code reviews, performance analysis, and optimizations to improve application efficiency Stay up-to-date with emerging blockchain technologies and trends, exploring new tools, frameworks, and decentralized applications Qualifications: Must be a Canadian citizen and based in Canada - remote work permitted Minimum of 2-3 years working in blockchain/Web3 development with a proven track record of building smart contracts and dApps Proficient in Solidity and Ethereum-based development Experience with Solana, Binance Smart Chain, or other Layer 1/Layer 2 protocols Familiarity with Web3.js, Ethers.js, and related frameworks Solid understanding of IPFS, NFTs, DeFi, and other blockchain protocols Knowledge of smart contract security best practices (e.g., reentrancy attacks, overflow/underflow) Front-end development experience with React.js or similar frameworks Experience in integrating blockchain-based solutions into front-end applications Familiarity with test-driven development and deployment pipelines Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills A passion for decentralized technologies and innovation Why Join Bird Software Solutions?
