SharePoint Architect This is a 6 month contract, expected to extend 100% remote, ideally candidate is based in B.C. If outside of B.C., must be comfortable working "PST" hours Job Description: Coordinate Environment Analysis: Ensure technical teams complete a comprehensive audit of the current SharePoint 2016 environment Facilitate Requirements Gathering: Oversee stakeholder workshops and confirm that business requirements, compliance needs, and UX goals are documented and prioritized Governance Framework Approval: Validate proposed governance models for permissions, external sharing, and compliance Monitor Change Management Activities: Track progress on training plans, communication strategies, and adoption initiatives. Escalate risks and ensure readiness for end-user transition. Automation Opportunity Review: Evaluate recommendations for process automation and approve solutions that meet business and compliance criteria. 2. Solution Design & Implementation (Management Focus) Architectural Oversight: Review proposed site architecture and confirm adherence to digital workplace vision. Approve hub-and-spoke design and navigation standards. Metadata & Taxonomy Governance: Ensure global term store and content type configurations align with enterprise taxonomy standards. Monitor consistency across sites. Integration Strategy Validation: Confirm integration plans with Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and other M365 tools. Ensure dependencies and risks are documented. Workflow Modernization Supervision: Validate migration from legacy workflows to Power Automate solutions. Confirm testing and sign-off processes are followed. User Experience & Branding Compliance: Approve branding guidelines and accessibility standards before deployment 3. Migration & Data Management (Program Oversight) Migration Planning & Governance: Approve phased migration strategy, including pilot scope, validation checkpoints, and rollback procedures. Data Integrity & Compliance Monitoring: Ensure validation protocols are in place for metadata preservation, retention policies, and legal requirements. Security & Permissions Review: Confirm Entra ID configurations, sensitivity labels, and conditional access policies Reporting & Risk Management: Review weekly migration dashboards, risk logs, and adoption metrics. Escalate issues to steering committee as needed 4. Post-Implementation Oversight HyperCare Coordination: Monitor post-launch support activities and confirm SLA adherence. Continuous Improvement Governance: Oversee feedback collection and approve enhancements based on user input and performance metrics. Knowledge Transfer Assurance: Validate delivery of training and documentation to ICBC’s internal teams for long-term sustainment. $80 - $90 per hour for an INC consultant If you're interested, please apply with your resume.
