Improve the accuracy and efficiency of the custom quoting process, helping Trystar scale without increasing lead times or engineering bottlenecks. Work on a wide range of power distribution products, from switchgear and load banks to docking stations and battery storage solutions. We are looking for people who believe in our guiding principles and values of: Safety – We believe everyone should leave Trystar facilities in the same or better condition than when they arrived. Integrity – We’re honest, transparent, and committed to doing what’s right. Customer focus – We have relentless focus on our customers and their success. Right with speed – We use good judgement, make thoughtful decisions quickly, and execute them with purpose and intensity. Play for each other – We’re a team. Refine and document quoting processes to improve efficiency and reduce engineering cycle time for custom orders. Collaborate with Sales, offering owners, application engineers, and manufacturing to bridge the gap between customer requirements and practical, buildable solutions. Identify common customizations and work toward streamlining configurations to improve quoting speed and accuracy. Drive impact beyond individual contributions by enabling others to move faster, make better decisions, and deliver higher‑quality work. Act as a technical mentor to engineers and sales team members, helping improve internal understanding of mechanical design principles and complex power distribution solutions. Continuously improve processes to reduce rework, enhance design efficiency, and improve order accuracy. Job Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. 7+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably for custom-engineered power distribution and electromechanical system design. Proficiency with mechanical design software such as SoliWorks and AutoCAD. Experience or best practices in stress analysis, heat dissipation management, and simulation. Ability to interpret customer specifications and site requirements to create accurate mechanical solutions. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to balance customer customization with standardization for efficiency. Experience with creation of detailed technical product documentation to support product manufacturing, functional testing, certification testing, and customer requests. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy. Curiosity and initiative to explore new technologies, solve problems independently, and continuously improve designs and processes. Understanding and application of mechanical design best practice, including safety, manufacturability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement in engineering workflows, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
