SAP Business Analyst

We’re seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst to assist our client, a large public utility, in enhancing and supporting its enterprise SAP environment. This role focuses on requirements gathering, process analysis, solution configuration, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure that SAP systems continue to meet evolving business and operational needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing business processes, implementing best practices, and enabling digital transformation initiatives across the organization. Location & Work Hours Location: Regina, Saskatchewan (remote with periodic onsite visits). Start/End: November 3, 2025 – June 30, 2028 (approx. 32 months). Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST. Availability: Primarily remote, with occasional onsite meetings as required by the client. Mandatory Education & Experience Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. 8–10+ years of progressive business analysis and functional consulting experience, with at least 5 years specializing in SAP ERP environments. Proven experience supporting and configuring SAP ECC or S/4HANA modules such as Finance (FI/CO), Materials Management (MM), Plant Maintenance (PM), or Human Capital Management (HCM). Strong background in requirements elicitation, business process mapping, and gap analysis. Hands‑on experience preparing functional specifications, conducting system testing, and supporting UAT and training activities. Familiarity with integration points between SAP and external applications or data systems. Demonstrated experience working in regulated or critical infrastructure sectors (utilities, government, or energy preferred). Desired Certifications SAP Certified Application Associate – applicable functional module (e.g., FI, CO, MM, PM, or HCM). Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI‑PBA certification (asset). ITIL v4 Foundation certification (asset). Eligibility for NERC Personnel Risk Assessment. Preferred Experience Experience participating in SAP upgrades, data migrations, and new module implementations. Exposure to S/4HANA transition or readiness projects. Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and Change Request Management (ChaRM) processes. Experience with integration technologies, including IDoc, BAPI, and middleware tools. Familiarity with reporting and analytics solutions (SAP BW/4HANA, SAC, or Power BI). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams. Elicit, document, and validate detailed business requirements for SAP enhancements and projects. Translate functional requirements into solution specifications and configuration settings. Support SAP configuration, testing, and documentation activities. Conduct system demonstrations and end‑user training sessions. Collaborate with SAP developers and technical teams to ensure solution integrity. Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Deliver status updates, reports, and knowledge transfer documentation to SaskPower’s internal teams.
