As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract in an Aecon-led partnership with Kiewit Nuclear Canada by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025 Aecon will support the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site. What You'll Do Here: Responsible for training coordination and qualification maintenance for all employees entering the weld training program. Responsible to ensure training is completed, documented, and records completed and stored to an auditable standard. Ensures all administrative requirements are met for trainees. Coordinates with site supervision and weld training Superintendent to plan, schedule and record all training events. Ensures training records are kept up to date in shared drive and project Learning Management System. Maintains electronic filing system for training material using SharePoint. Provides support to the Trainers and Training Supervisors. Other duties as required. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum 2 years’ related experience Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team Organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task / service oriented Thrive in a fast paced environment Training system software experience is considered an asset Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in teams Ability to plan, manage, and prioritize multiple, concurrent assignments and tasks Ability to consistently meet deadlines Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment Strong sense of urgency and accountability Reason for vacancy: New Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
