Responsibilities Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, x‑rays, and other diagnostic procedures Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health Prescribe and administer medications and treatments Provide pre‑natal and post regular care Advise patients on health care Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities Communicate health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention to patients Perform patient advocacy role Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues Provide emergency care Participate on institutional committees Work Setting Porcupine Medical Clinic: 207 Elm Street, Porcupine Plain, SK S0E 1H0 Porcupine Carragana Hospital: Windsor Avenue, Porcupine Plain, SK S0E 1H0 actionable Relocation Package This opportunity is eligible to receive the Rural Physician Incentive Program of up to $200,000 Qualifications Languages: English Education: Degree in Medicine, completed Family Medicine Residency Training Program Experience: No experience required, but considered an asset Security & Safety Current Canadian Medical Protective Association membership A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license Criminal record check Credentials: Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) Benefits NE Area Recruitment and Relocation: $15,000.00 for 3 years return bilo service.
