Site Safety, Health and Environment Lead As our new SHE Lead, you will play a key role in driving a strong safety, health, and environmental culture across our ATC site. Working closely with the Group SHE Director and Site Managing Director, you’ll ensure compliance with all legislative and company requirements by implementing, applying, and reviewing effective protective and preventative measures. You’ll provide expert guidance and training to colleagues at all levels, enhancing awareness, engagement, and ownership of SHE responsibilities. Through proactive leadership and collaboration, you’ll help minimise operational risks and occupational health concerns while strengthening stakeholder confidence in our commitment to safety and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate, up-to‑date SHE advice and support, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and legislative requirements, while monitoring and reporting key SHE metrics. Support the Site MD with Process Safety Management (PSM) programmes, risk assessments, and hazard identification to ensure effective action tracking and compliance. Lead investigations into incidents and near‑misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Drive continuous improvement in safety culture by promoting behavioural safety (BBS), challenging unsafe practices, and delivering timely, engaging SHE training. Oversee site risk assessments, contractor safety, and environmental commitments (including ISO 14001 and waste management), ensuring all activities safeguard employees and meet legal obligations. Qualifications At least 7 years’ SHE experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or similar. Strong understanding of risk assessment principles, including chemical risk assessments for hazardous substances. Proven ability to deliver effective SHE training across operational, laboratory, and office environments. Knowledge of process safety principles (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA) and ISO management systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in French (English is an advantage). Benefits A competitive salary alongside inclusion into our company bonus scheme.
