Role Description Join Terawatt's innovative technology team as a Network & Security Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing, securing, and scaling our corporate and site infrastructure to power the future of autonomous and electric vehicle fleets for Terawatt and our customers. You will leverage your expertise to understand diverse networking and customer requirements, architect robust solutions, and lead the deployment and operation of enterprise-scale networks across our rapidly expanding network of sites.This role demands a blend of industry best practices and innovative problem-solving to ensure rapid delivery and unwavering reliability in complex operational environments. This is a truly impactful position, and collaborating closely with the SVP of Technology, you will define the vision for reliability, security, and customer trust across our entire technology stack.If you possess a proven track record in enterprise-scale network architecture and security, seize this opportunity to transform the world and significantly reduce GHG emissions Core Responsibilities Lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of global LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud networks for scalability and resilience. Implement and enhance robust security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and advanced security technologies, to protect systems and data. Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and forensic analysis; develop and execute incident response plans. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network design, security compliance, and system integrations. Manage identity and access management (IAM) controls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security. Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response processes. Stay current with cybersecurity and networking trends, integrating new technologies and implementing and maintaining controls for security frameworks (NIST, CIS, SOC2). Troubleshoot and manage complex network and security issues with external partners and internal teams. Drive network and security projects from conception to completion with strong project management. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years in network architecture, engineering, and cybersecurity, with enterprise-scale environment experience. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and firewalls. Hands‑on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners. Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid networking. Experience with Verkada, physical security, and similar applications. Strong problem‑solving skills, experience with incident respons,e and forensic analysis. Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, Security+, CISSP(preferred) Experience with zero‑trust architecture, SD‑WAN, and next‑gen firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.). Scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Ansible). $125,000 - $145,000 a year Compensation for this role is determined by several factors, including the cost of labor in specific geographic markets, and these ranges are intended to provide a helpful reference. The actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s location, skills, level of expertise and experience, and internal equity considerations. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and, where applicable, performance‑based incentives.
