About The Role Reporting to the Manager Network Services, this advanced role serves as the Infrastructure and Security Architect for networking within Qu Data Centers (QDC) Core Network Services and customer Managed Network Services at multiple data centers nationwide. This role engages in senior level business and technology discussions related to data center network and service requiring skills in design, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting complex incidents. Key Responsibilities Participate in development of long-term plans for the data centers network and service infrastructure Ensure security policy is reflected and adhered to in QDC network and service infrastructure designs Represent QDC during design discussion with vendor and Network Engineering Teams Consolidate QDC network and service infrastructure requirements Collaborate with Qu teams to eliminate risk within data center network and service infrastructure Define and recommend lifecycle roadmap of complex products Adhere to all controls and processes to maintain SOC1, SOC2, PCI and ISO 27001 compliance Participate in On-Call rotation for incident management escalation from Network Administrators Support Sales and Solutions Architects ensuring correct services are positioned for customers Lead QDC & Customer network services infrastructure projects from inception to project realization Experience / Education / Certification 3+ years of experience in data centers infrastructure architecture and planning 5+ years of experience in senior technical role in data centers infrastructure engineering/operation 8+ years of experience with data center network administration Ability to produce solutions both independently and collaboratively Advanced knowledge and experience with leading network technology products Readiness to assess technical and business challenges to develop viable solutions IP networking, internetworking, ITIL based design and implementation experience Prior architecture, engineering and operations experience in service provider environment Exposure to technology vendor relationship management Experience with data center infrastructure and facilities management Experience with data center infrastructure monitoring is an asset Working experience with data center networks and services infrastructure virtualization is an asset Post-graduate degree with courses in computer engineering, computer science, system engineering, software architecture or equivalent experience is preferred Professional certification in data center network operation implementation security design preferred Essential Skills Expert understanding of data center network and services infrastructure Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Proven ability to communicate clearly, both orally and verbally, with peers and supervisors Positive attitude with a desire to constantly improve Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with broad range of network equipment from Cisco and Fortinet is mandatory Prior exposure to various network technologies (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, MPLS, routing, switching, firewalls) is mandatory Familiarity with load-balancing concepts and platforms is preferred Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems is preferred Awareness of cloud and network virtualization concepts and operations e.g. VmWare is preferred At Qu, we are committed to building an inclusive, equitable, and accessible workplace where all employees feel respected and supported.
