Canada Prophet Security, Inc. Full time

Who We Are Security teams are drowning in alerts, fragmented workflows, and tools that don’t talk to each other. Adversaries are moving faster than ever, deploying ransomware or stealing data in hours instead of days. Organizations don’t want more alerts. They want broad coverage without being limited by human time. They need systems that can recognize when something’s wrong, explain what happened, and guide them on what to do next. Prophet Security is building an AI SOC platform to deliver exactly that. We bring reasoning, context, and consistency to every investigation and scale with the needs of the mission. Powered by large language models, we help analysts investigate and respond at machine speed, transforming what SOCs can do today and redefining what’s possible tomorrow. Who You Are You’re an investigator at heart, looking to make a bigger impact on the security industry. You don’t think in single alerts; you think in end-to-end workflows. When something fires, you know what context matters, how to connect the dots, and what the right next move is. You’ve investigated account takeovers, spotted the signs of session hijacking, chased ransomware groups through environments, and triaged suspicious cloud activity, including the gotchas in the control plane. Real mastery isn’t just closing alerts. It’s turning your process into repeatable steps: building detections that cut through noise, designing orchestration workflows and AI agents that scale, or crafting prompts that teach AI to reason like you. You’re comfortable moving between investigations, code, and customers. One moment you’re unpacking tricky logs, the next you’re refining response actions with a teammate or guiding a customer through an investigation. You care about precision, context, and making sure the same investigation never has to be solved twice. You’re always learning, always sharing, and you want to help shape the next generation of security operations. Why You Matter At Prophet, you won’t just respond to alerts. You’ll help shape how AI is used within the context of threat detection and response. Your investigations and workflows will shape Prophet AI’s reasoning engine, ensuring customers get the coverage, accuracy, and clarity they need. Working alongside engineers and fellow practitioners, you’ll help redefine what’s possible in security operations. What You’ll Bring Experience operating in large enterprise, DFIR, or Managed Detection and Response environments Proficiency investigating and responding to threats across endpoints, networks, SaaS apps, and cloud providers Ability to think in workflows, not just alerts, and design investigations and responses that scale Comfort writing code to support investigations or automation (Python, Go, or similar) Response orchestration experience, such as designing playbooks or automating workflows, is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers and peers A quality-first mindset for investigations Curiosity and attention to detail Our Culture Our employees are recognized as our top asset and we provide great benefits, meaningful equity participation, as well as a fun and inspiring environment to create and collaborate. Customer Centricity : Focus on exceeding customer expectations and placing them at the core of decisions Practicality over Perfection: Emphasis on efficient solutions and agile decision-making Strive for Excellence: Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement Transparent Communication: Encouragement of open, honest dialogue and collaborative trust Unwavering Resilience: Determination to overcome challenges and persist in achieving goals Have Fun: Foster a positive work environment that balances hard work with enjoyment and creativity Environment Prophet Security takes pride in being an equal opportunity employer. We value a diverse and global talent pool and the collaboration that results from having a diverse and inclusive team. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status. Our hiring decisions are based exclusively on merit, qualifications and business needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
