Job Opportunity as a Farm Labourer/Mechanic North Paddock Farms Ltd is an irrigated cropping farm located just south of Taber, Alberta and we are looking for a new person to join our team. Our farm uses modern equipment and technology to grow potatoes, timothy hay, seed canola, flax, fababeans and various cereals. We like to work as a team and offer our employees opportunities to increase their responsibilities and encourage them to contribute their ideas. The work week is approximately 42 hours, plus more during planting and harvest. This is a full time position beginning March 2 (flexible). Primary Duties will include: • Repair and maintain field equipment • Repair and maintain trucks and tractors • Operate and maintain pivots • Assist in scheduling and coordinating routine maintenance • Delivery of harvested crops • Operate field equipment • Assist in record keeping Skills/Qualifications: • Mechanical skills, and experience • High school diploma (post secondary schooling an advantage) • Self-motivated to determine daily priorities and schedule tasks • Ability to problem solve • Electrical skills • Computer proficient • Clean Class 3 driver’s abstract (Class 1 an advantage) • Must be willing to work the occasional Sunday Competitive wages, depending on skills and qualifications. We will provide farm specific training, and are willing to help with obtaining a Class 1 license for the right person.
