Your Contribution Your Main Responsibilities Proficient in wood construction projects. Perform structural site investigations, inspections, reviews, and prepare technical reports and compliance letters. Describe existing structural conditions and provide engineering solutions through assessments and studies. Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and design of structural elements using current codes and standards. Manage and produce deliverables such as drawings and specifications with accuracy. Manage projects to meet schedule and budget targets. Interact regularly with clients and contractors. Review designs and drawings from junior team members, providing mentorship. Review contractor submittals and develop design modifications as needed. Market services to clients via business development initiatives. Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules. Your Profile Registered with the provincial association (APEGA). Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering. Experience in wood construction projects. 5+ years in structural design of buildings and components. Knowledge of Canadian building codes and standards. Project management and contract administration experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with structural analysis software like ETABS, SAFE, SFRAME. Ability to learn, adapt, work independently and in teams. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Alberta.
