Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced software developer and technical leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be comfortable with both hands-on and leadership responsibilities, contributing directly to our products as well as providing guidance, direction, and mentoring to the rest of the team. The role requires solid software design skills and concrete experience with C#/ASP.NET, JavaScript/HTML/CSS/React, Azure, databases, and DevOps.

Our ideal CTO will bring the wisdom and judgement that comes from delivering substantial products to actual customers and continuing to architect, develop, support, and evolve those products during multi-year timeframes. The job requires the ability to be detailed and demanding in order to maintain our high standards while also knowing how to evaluate the trade-offs involved in real-world business decisions. Our candidate should be able to communicate well with team members, being supportive while keeping the team aligned.

In addition, the CTO will be directly responsible for software development, often taking on the most innovative and complex assignments. Our candidate should be entirely comfortable writing code, reviewing submissions by other developers, debugging difficult problems, and evaluating potential changes to our tech stack.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with the company's goals
  • Oversee all aspects of technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals
  • Lead the IT team in designing, developing, and implementing software and hardware solutions
  • Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems
  • Identify and recommend new technology solutions to improve business operations
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate technology with business processes
  • Stay current on new technologies and industry trends

Requirements:

  • Strong demonstrated experience with C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Azure, Git
  • Familiarity with SQL and database design, ideally with PostgreSQL
  • Excellent skills in software architecture & design, problem-solving, and debugging.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (C1/C2/Native)
  • Familiarity with French (at least A2/B1) an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or relevant work experie

This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
