Business Development Vice President, National Sales – Enterprise As a Business Development Vice President within JP Morgan Chase, you will focus on growing the bank’s business and generating revenue by selling products and services to prospective clients across Canada. You will report to the Canada Head of National Sales and be expected to leverage your creativity, prospecting efforts and cross‑functional collaboration to identify and develop new opportunities. Responsibilities Proactively build, develop and manage a sustainable pipeline of new business opportunities to expand market share. Identify and self‑source client opportunities. Cultivate new business opportunities by aligning with key bank channels and strategic partners. Partner with Product, Coverage and Relationship Teams (locally and globally) to achieve new business objectives and identify opportunities in Canada. Provide thought leadership while being the “voice of the client” for Merchant Services, representing the line of business effectively and proactively. Complete analysis to competitively identify and price JP Morgan products and services for profitability. Maximize revenue with clients by driving efficient client activations throughout the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to full implementation (including proposals, contract negotiation, documentation and coordinating product partners / implementation teams). Travel up to 50%. Protect the firm by following sound risk‑management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements; work directly with Credit, Risk and Quality Control to comply with AML/KYC regulations. Required Qualifications and Skills 7+ years of B2B sales experience selling into the enterprise segment within payments or banking. Proven track record of self‑sourcing leads that result in meeting revenue goals in a solution‑selling environment. Experience executing a team‑based coverage approach for clients. Strong knowledge of merchant services products and strong technical acumen. Excellent verbal and written communication with decision‑makers at all levels, including C‑level. Ability to offer comprehensive, customized solutions that best meet client needs and recommend alternatives when traditional solutions do not apply. Ability to balance client needs with associated firm risks and interests. Establish a disciplined process to manage time and accomplish business objectives. Anticipate client issues, own problems on clients’ behalf and follow through on commitments. Knowledge of diverse business types, industries, markets, financial and economic concepts.
