As part of their continued rapid growth in Electronic Security across Canada, they are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead national sales performance, strategy, and execution.

Position Overview

The Vice President, Sales will provide strategic leadership for the development, execution, and continuous refinement of the Canadian sales strategy for enterprise and commercial markets. Accountable for delivering sustained revenue growth, expanding market share, and elevating customer experience, this role will drive national performance through decisive leadership, disciplined execution, and market insight.

As a key member of the Canadian executive leadership team, the Vice President will inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and seamless integration with cross-functional priorities. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping both short- and long-term strategies, directly influencing the trajectory of the Canadian business and reinforcing our client's position as an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead national sales strategy, planning, and execution to deliver sustained growth across all Canadian regions.
  • Oversee and be accountable for the delivery of sales performance results, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Vice President of Canada to develop long-term market strategies and growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key enterprise and strategic accounts, directly engaging in high-value customer interactions and complex negotiations.
  • Oversee the review and approval process for major contracts, MSAs, and strategic agreements.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs to continuously refine sales strategies.
  • Recruit, coach, and retain top sales talent, fostering a collaborative, results-driven, and high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure a cohesive go-to-market approach.
  • Monitor performance metrics, develop reporting frameworks, and implement improvement plans where necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles, including national or multi-region responsibilities.
  • Proven record of exceeding bookings and revenue goals in complex, solution-driven environments.
  • Executive-level experience in national sales management within the security technology, electronic security, or closely related B2B technology industries. (Security Systems industry experience will be prioritized)
  • Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and expanding market share.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining C-level customer relationships and managing enterprise or strategic accounts.
  • Deep understanding of disciplined sales processes, pipeline management, and structured sales methodologies.
  • Financial and strategic acumen to oversee large-scale contracts, MSAs, and profitability.
  • Ability to lead organizational change, inspire teams, and execute with discipline in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in integrated technologies (electronic security, fire/life safety, building automation solutions) strongly preferred.
