Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd., a proud member of the Carlson Construction Group, is seeking a Safety Manager with experience in Land, Marine, Subcontracts, or Mechanical disciplines to join our local team in North Vancouver. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and success of exciting upcoming projects, including major marine terminals, bridge foundations, and large-scale infrastructure upgrades that will shape the future of BC’s coastline and communities. Lead Landmark Projects : Take charge of safety initiatives on complex construction projects across BC. Innovate Across Disciplines : Apply your safety expertise in diverse environments—Land, Marine, Mechanical, and Subcontracts. Collaborate with Experts : Work alongside a team that values excellence, integrity, and professionalism. Maintain safety records and monitor incident trends. Review documentation for accuracy and provide feedback. Support safety planning for new projects and conduct worker orientations. Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks. Monitor compliance of workers and subcontractors; enforce safety regulations. Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations. Keep management informed of safety issues affecting project work. Promote and uphold safe working conditions across all sites. Minimum 5 years of field safety experience, preferably in industrial construction. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others. Post-secondary education in a related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Results-driven with strong organizational abilities. Willingness to work shifts and travel outside the Lower Mainland as needed. Preferred professional safety designation (e.g., CRSP, RCSO, CHSC, CSS, CIH, or ROH). Occupational First Aid Level 3 certification or willingness to obtain. Experience with BCCSA’s C.O.R. program and auditing processes. High personal, professional, and ethical standards. Initiative, sound judgment, and a proactive approach. Excellent relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong prioritization and time-management skills. Eagerness to learn and grow in the safety field.
