The Opportunity We are seeking Shipping Supervisor to support our Scarborough (Midwest) facility. Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for leading and developing a high‑performance team of unionized workers to optimize safety, product quality and productivity to achieve on‑time delivery and total customer satisfaction. Shift : Bi‑weekly rotation of shifts. Days 6:30am‑2:30pm, Afternoons 2:30pm to 10:30pm, Midnights 10:30pm to 6:30am. What You’ll Do Direct shipping employees, services and resources to meet customer needs and delivery requirements Ensure a safe work environment as top priority, with emphasis on training employees, addressing hazards, conducting investigations and enforcing safety policies, procedures and behaviors Ensure the highest levels of product quality, optimization of department efficiencies and shrink / waste reduction Supervision of shipping staff including performance management, productivity monitoring/improvement, communication and timely follow up Monitor general activities in the Shipping Department including monitoring, tracking and verifying inventory levels and trailer utilization Ensure an efficient work flow and that finished goods are moving expeditiously from production lines Frequently communicate with internal departments to ensure customer needs and on‑time delivery requirements are met Lead daily communication meetings with shipping staff and address employee concerns Ensure all inspections/checklists are completed on a daily basis Enforce all Company policies and procedures and administration of the collective agreement Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping practices Other duties as assigned What You Bring Excellent communications and interpersonal skills 5 years of experience in a Shipping Supervisory role 5 years of experience in Logistics & Warehouse Minimum 3 years of hands‑on working knowledge with WMS & ERP system Proficient with MS Office applications and systems Knowledge of OH&S Act Flexibility to be available on‑call for making arrangements on after hours emergency deliveries and to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines Knowledge of OH&S Act; First Aid and CPR High energy level required with effective communication skills Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities are essential Exhibit a sense of urgency and demonstrate the ability to problem solve in a fast‑paced environment Ability to present themselves in a professional manner What We Offer Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage (dependents included) Teamwork‑focused culture with sustainability initiatives and social events A culture of appreciation through a point‑based recognition Opportunities for advancement and internal movement Education assistance for continuous skill development Academic scholarships for employees’ children Safety equipment and PPE support program Inclusion and Accessibility Atlantic Packaging is committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible and respectful environment for all candidates.
