WilCor Industries is a fast-growing rigging and industrial services company based in Surrey, BC. We specialize in certified load testing, rigging inspections, custom builds, and repairs for clients across the Lower Mainland. We are looking for a hands‑on Shop Manager to lead our shop operations and keep workflow running smoothly as our business continues to expand. About the Role The Shop Manager oversees all daily shop operations including incoming orders, rigging builds, load testing, certifications, scheduling, logistics, and shop staff management. This is a key leadership position in a small but rapidly growing team. What You’ll Do Manage day‑to‑day shop operations including new builds, repairs, inspections, and load testing Prioritize incoming work orders and assign tasks to shop staff Oversee quality control, timelines, and adherence to ASME, CSA, and WorkSafeBC standards Supervise and support a 3–5 person shop team Schedule and coordinate pickup and drop‑off runs for rigging and client equipment Ensure all certifications, tags, and documentation are completed accurately Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant shop environment Communicate with customers regarding order status and requirements Monitor inventory and stock levels to support efficient workflow Support workflow improvements, shop organization, and operational planning Make day‑to‑day decisions independently to keep jobs moving efficiently What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in shop operations, rigging, industrial, mechanical, or similar environments Leadership or supervisory experience Strong organizational and time‑management skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and work in a hands‑on shop environment Comfortable working around lifting equipment, chain slings, cranes, wire rope, and load testing machinery High attention to detail and commitment to safety Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) to manage work orders, certification records, and communication Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Company truck and gas card can be included as part of the compensation package (optional based on candidate preference) Extended health and dental benefits after a 3‑month probationary period Opportunities for certification, training, and growth Why Join WilCor WilCor has been a trusted name in rigging safety for over a decade.
