We are seeking a **Shop Lead Hand** to join our growing team As a Shop Lead, you are responsible for coordinating and directing the workload of the shop assemblers for maximum efficiency and productivity while ensuring quality work. Encourage the proper policies and procedures are followed.

This is a leadership position requiring a full breadth of both production skills and people skills. With a strong track record in safety, quality control and overall production efficiency you will need to select, train and manage the shop assemblers.
- **Job Requirements**_

Proven experience of 3-5 years in a supervisory role within a shop atmosphere.

Proven experience of 5+ years in a shop assembly environment

Must be proficient with hand and power tools of various types

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.

Capacity to schedule/run multiple projects on time and on budget.

Ability to coordinate and work effectively in a team setting with all levels of employees.

Self-motivated, organized, and possess strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Enthusiastic, positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Oversee shop operations in the absence of service managers. Review of shop drawings and submittal packages for accuracy. Maintains good relationships with clients, engineers, contractors, and other trade leads.
- Provide direct supervision of, assign duties to, and generally lead shop employees.
- Ensure timely and efficient work
- Execute daily operational tasks provided by service management.
- Escalate operational or personnel issues to service management.
- Perform quality check on work performed on projects
- Ensure the shop is kept clean and tidy, including leaving proper space in aisles.
- Provide service management with daily shift reports.
- Oversee shop operations in the absence of service managers.
- Enforce safety standards in the shop with all employees, regardless of department or level. Report safety violations to service management.
- Check all major equipment including forklifts, and pallet jacks regularly and report repairs to maintenance. Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Report quality deficiencies immediately.
- Manage special projects as required.
- Assists with the assignment of jobs and work areas to shop employees according to their skill and knowledge.
- Directs and assists shop assemblers in the diagnosis of machine problems.
- Perform maintenance & diagnostics on projects
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and recommend necessary corrections
- Complete inspections with integrity and professionalism

Hourly wage starting $30/hour _*wage may be adjusted based on skillset & performance._

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
