Analyst – Venture Capital (6-Month Contract, Jan-Jun 2025, Remote) About Loyal VC: Loyal VC is a global venture capital fund that has backed 400+ portfolio companies across 70+ countries, supported by a global network of 1,500+ advisors, with a staged investment model designed to minimize bias and maximize founder success. We are building a venture firm that operates with a lean team of high leverage operators and analysts. We are looking for a highly intelligent operator who wants deep exposure to the core functions of an Analyst at a venture firm, but who also wants to re‑think how standard Analyst work gets done in this new AI era. In this role, you won't just learn how a unique venture fund operates at scale; you will help design it. You will work directly with cutting‑edge AI tools to build workflows that streamline our investing and fund operations, turning manual workflows into intelligent systems. If you are energized by building systems, working with data, and getting a front‑row seat to how a global venture fund operates, this role is for you. Why this role is unique Hybrid: VC + AI + Systems Design: Split your time between “classic” venture analyst work (valuations, cap tables, investment committee prep, returns) and building AI-enabled systems that make all of that faster and smarter. Real Ownership, Not Just Support: You’ll own key processes (valuation prep, portfolio data, dashboards, IC materials) and be trusted to improve them, not just maintain them. Work Differently: You’ll help design, test, and refine AI workflows that augment how we evaluate and support companies. Deep Exposure to a Global Portfolio: Learn how a global fund with 400+ investments operates at scale, across geographies, industries, and stages. High-Leverage Operator & Systems Architect Design the Future: Help design how a venture firm operates at scale using intelligent AI workflows. Build Systems: Create systems that improve how we collect, utilize, and enrich company data. Scale: Go from 0 to 1 on new initiatives and 1 to n with limited direction, using AI to bridge the gap between “manual” and “automated.” Investment Analysis & Valuation Valuation Preparation: Lead the fund’s quarterly valuation preparation and support, including reviewing startup cap tables and collecting/analyzing company performance and fundraising data at scale. Securities Analysis: Review investment securities, analyze terms, and model conversions and pro forma cap tables. Returns: Perform returns calculations to accurately track fund performance metrics, research comparable funds and benchmarks. Value Creation: Support portfolio value creation initiatives to help identify and drive growth opportunities within the portfolio. Investment Committee: Prepare data, memos, and materials for Investment Committee reviews to support decision‑making. Portfolio & Fund Operations Data Ownership: Own company and investment data management, work with unstructured and structured portfolio company reporting data, and find ways to augment our data collection and management systems. Reporting & Compliance: Support year‑end audit processes and manage portfolio company reporting data. Materials: Create high‑quality slides and pitch deck content for fundraising. Ad Hoc Support: Assist Management and the investment team with ad‑hoc operational, diligence, and special projects support. Tooling Productivity: Strong in Google Sheets and Google Slides. AI & Automation: Confident using AI and automation tools. You don’t need to be an expert on day one, but you should know where to start and be excited to dive deep and quickly level up. What You've Done / Who You Are Intellectually Curious: You are genuinely smart and eager to learn the nuts and bolts of VC, but you are equally excited about the potential of AI to change the game. Systems Thinker: You don't just do the work; you improve how the work gets done. You naturally think in terms of workflows, efficiency, and scale. Self‑Starter: You figure stuff out. You can take any objective and turn it into results with limited direction. Structure Creator: You are a self‑directed independent worker with the ability to think outside of the box to solve problems. Location & Term Remote. Contract: 6 Months (January 2025 – June 2025).
