Our Consumer Brands include: two-bite® two bite-brownies® Kimberley's Bakeshoppe™ Mason St. Bakehouse™ The Worthy Crumb Pastry Co™ Job Overview The Product Designer will design new cookie shapes and kits for private‑label projects in a fast‑moving environment. Candidates should have a strong decorating background and exceptional piping skills. Position Type: 18‑month contract. Key Responsibilities Develop new products with marketing direction or independently. Scale, bake, label, and package lab & customer samples; create formulation record and accurate costing. Work with Purchasing to identify new ingredients and target costs. Use CAD to translate lab cutters and drawings into cookie dies for production and optimize die capabilities. Understand cookie dough and production line capabilities. Manage projects from ideation to production runs. Manage die supplier relationships, design specs, and die library. Work with Production on new concepts and processing methods, ensuring critical‑to‑quality processes are understood. Coordinate with Marketing Design & Product Managers, delivering updates on customer samples and plant trials. Conduct plant trials with Technical Services, run pretrial meetings, and maintain detailed records of production details, outcomes, labor head counts, and suitability. Take ownership of personal project load and adapt to workload changes. Back up PD on other production lines, managing samples and plant trials when teammates are absent. Provide decorated samples for customers and photoshoots for packaging, and demonstrate food‑styling abilities. Review components and decorated images for packaging. Recipe For Success Degree in Food Science, Chef’s or Bakers Red Seal, Pastry Arts, or Cookie & Cake Decorating with 3–5 years of bakery or food manufacturing experience specializing in cookie and/or cake decorating. Knowledge of CAD programs. Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, BRC, SQF, and food allergens. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up. Ability to lead, work independently, and within a team environment. Reliable transportation.
