We specialize in a bespoke, evidence-based approach, drawing from modalities such as attachment-based work, EMDR, EFT, IFS-informed practice, and the Gottman Method. Our team offers high-quality support for individuals, couples, and families, with a strong emphasis on creating a warm, grounded, human therapeutic experience. Our practice is intentionally small and thoughtfully curated. We value clinical integrity, collaboration, and trauma-informed care. Yaletown Counselling is a space where both clients and clinicians can show up authentically—where our work is relational, not rushed, and where every story is honoured. We are expanding our team and looking for an associate who shares our commitment to relational depth, high-quality care, and thoughtful, personalized counselling. Role Description This is an on-site contract role for an Associate Counsellor based in Vancouver, BC. The Associate Counsellor will provide professional counselling services, conduct assessments, create individualized plans, and offer support to clients. The role involves active listening, empathy, and confidentiality to ensure the highest level of client care. Sessions may include one-on-one or group settings, tailored to meet the unique needs of clients. Administrative and case documentation tasks related to counselling may also be required. Qualifications Proficiency in conducting client assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering counselling sessions Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and rapport building Knowledge of mental health challenges, therapeutic techniques, and applicable legal guidelines Ability to maintain confidentiality, ethical standards, and client-focused practices Familiarity with case management, documentation, and scheduling processes Relevant certifications such as registration with a professional counselling association or license Master’s degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Contract Job Function Other #J-18808-Ljbffr
