**Associate Counsellor, Private Practice—Focus on ADHD**

Nightingale Counselling & Research is a thriving private practice of Registered Clinical Counsellors, who work with clients in-person in Vancouver and online throughout the world. We provide non-manualized and trauma-informed counselling services to individuals, couples, and families.

**About the Opportunity**

Nightingale Counselling is looking for an Associate Counsellor for online and in-person counselling at our Granville Street clinic. We are seeking Counsellors whose professional and personal lives intersect with neurodiverse populations in one (or more) of the following ways:

Over our three years in existence, Nightingale Counselling and Research has become one of the important centres in the Lower Mainland for the conceptualization and treatment of ADHD. We seek to expand our ability to serve individuals, couples, and families with ADHD and add to the knowledge base that seeks to describe the day-to-day experience of people with ADHD in the world.

Experience with other neurological presentations—in particular, Autism spectrum disorder, Auditory processing disorder, and Epilepsy—will be given consideration.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology (or related)
- Current registration with applicable regulatory body (e.g. BCACC)
- Ability to conduct out-of-office counselling sessions via telehealth
- Ability to commit to adequate weekly shifts to accommodate flexible appointment times for a caseload of 12 — 20 clients per week
- For contracted associates: up-to-date professional documentation including business registration and professional liability insurance

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Interest and experience with ADHD, RSD and neurodiverse populations
- Non-manualized, client centered therapy
- Social justice and harm reduction orientations
- Commitment to ethical practice including supervision, consultation, and self-care
- Responsible for building your caseload and referral network via good practice
- Commitment to professional development
- Willingness to exercise sliding scale and _pro bono_ options for professional practice

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 12-25 per week

**Salary**: $72.00-$84.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in VANCOUVER, BC
