This key role is a hunter type sales position. You will build and grow a pipeline of commercial vehicle leasing, fleet management, and rental client prospects and help Summit meet its growth targets. Position Description As a Business Development Manager for the Canadian market, your primary focus is building and maintaining a pipeline of prospective commercial vehicle leasing, fleet management, and rental clients. You will be responsible for ensuring Summit reaches new client growth targets. Responsibilities Identify and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects. Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers. Present proposals and solutions to all levels of staff, including executives. Maintain and share knowledge of competitors. Communicate regularly with Summit Client Service and Account Management teams. Participate in ongoing sales training and industry product learning. Maintain a database of prospects in Summit’s CRM (Salesforce). Travel regionally as required. Qualifications Post‑secondary education; business or financial degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of proven success in a business development or account management role. Strong written, oral, and presentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of leasing, financing, and fleet management practices is an asset. Experience using Salesforce is an asset.
