Associate Director of Strategy

Associate Director, Strategy and Planning Havas Health Toronto is seeking an Associate Director, Strategy and Planning to join our Creative Strategy team. You will partner with clients and internal teams to develop brand strategies and tactical plans that drive measurable growth. This role is both client-facing and hands‑on, involving the design and facilitation of strategic workshops, advisory boards, and brand planning sessions. You will also play a key role in identifying both organic and net new opportunities. Key Responsibilities A critical member of the strategic planning team, supporting the agency’s success and growth for assigned account and new business opportunities. Champion a consulting model approach to client engagements. Develop and present brand strategies and tactical recommendations in collaboration with account and creative teams. Lead and facilitate strategic workshops, including HCP and patient advisory boards, brand planning, and omni-/multichannel mapping. Analyze research and data to uncover insights and translate them into actionable communication plans. Develop discussion guides for market research and conduct 1:1 HCP and patient interviews. Build strong relationships across assigned clients’ commercial, marketing, and medical teams. Stay current on healthcare industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities. Play an instrumental role in driving new business efforts, including identifying growth areas, exploring new therapeutic categories, and developing new business pitch components based on core insights and brand ideas. Incorporate and share feedback effectively across teams and projects. Requirements 4+ years of healthcare strategy experience within the Canadian marketplace. Deep knowledge of the Canadian healthcare landscape including Health Canada, PAAB, and ASC regulations. Ability to dive into therapeutic areas to become an expert. Strong understanding of social media channels, trends, consumer behaviors, and measurement opportunities. Familiarity with current industry trends. Strong in‑room presence and presentation skills. Ability to design and facilitate strategic and tactical planning workshops. Collaborative and strategic mindset. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Proven ability to turn raw data into insights that guide communication strategies. Ability to manage, incorporate, and disseminate feedback appropriately for assignments.
