LEAD BUSINESS PLANNER, CANADA Elevating Nike’s partnership in Canada will be rewarding, challenging, and most definitely not just a job. Nike’s Planning function partners with diverse teams across the company to drive profitable, sustainable growth and inventory productivity. As Lead Business Planner you will report to the Senior Manager, Business Planning Canada and work with Sport Planners, MSC, Finance, and external partners to deliver top‑down financial business targets pre‑season and in‑season. Key Responsibilities Define and lead multi‑season sales, receipt, and inventory plans to meet consumer demand. Build hypotheses, conduct data‑driven analysis, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Analyze marketplace, product, and inventory dynamics and align plans with evolving targets. Collaborate across functions to forecast consumer demand, plan optimal supply, and meet financial expectations. Maintain monthly rolling forecasts at product grain, reconcile forecasts, recap business results, and articulate decision impacts with cross‑functional and leadership teams. Lead and conduct internal/external seasonal financial account meetings, providing overall context to seasonal plans. Qualifications 6+ years’ experience in retail, planning, and/or product management. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field (or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training). Strong ability to influence, communicate effectively, and collaborate across the organization. Outstanding written and verbal communication, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail. Deep passion for retail, fluency in the wholesale marketplace and product trends, and ability to translate insights into strategic action plans. Strong command of retail metrics (Retail Sales, ST %, WOS, Inventories, Revenue, Margin) and ability to manipulate data for efficient outcomes. In‑depth knowledge of consumers, competitors, and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred. Growth mindset with a desire to continuously learn and improve.
