Job Summary Location: Canada-Remote Division: Marketplace Engineering Line Manager: Senior Director Contract Terms: Full time Job Description Be part of something special This role of Sr. Engineer (Android) will have a mix of coding and collaboration responsibilities to help sustain and grow our SDKs, which are embedded in over 500 client apps globally, some of which are among the topmost used on app stores. You’ll be challenged to envision the technical aspects and solutions for the future landscape of globalizing and growing our SDK further. The role is a great opportunity to further grow your technical skills and deliver highly impactful products that help millions of fans experience events. Qualifications 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development. Extensive experience developing robust, mission-critical systems using multiple general-purpose programming languages (Kotlin or Java). Deep understanding and practical experience with Jetpack Compose and ModUI development. Proficiency in Kotlin Coroutines and StateFlow/SharedFlow for asynchronous programming and reactive data handling. Hands‑on experience with Hilt/Dagger for scalable and maintainable architecture. Expertise in MVVM, MVI and similar approaches. Previous experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact. A strong understanding of how systems interact with the broader production environment, including dependencies and platform primitives. Exposure to React Native. Proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools. Experience owning projects from the initial idea all the way to production. Experience mentoring junior engineers. Strong technical skills in mobile app development, with experience on iOS and Android platforms. Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA. Previous proven ability to lead a team through the full life cycle of software development. Demonstrated expertise in building software with infrastructure, databases, data processing, machine learning, distributed systems, security, and privacy. Ability to meet commitments and multitask in a fast‑paced work environment. Strong teamwork and positive attitude. Ability to own and manage multiple concurrent projects, including stakeholder negotiation. Experience building high‑performance services or applications, including performance tuning and optimization. Language Requirements High level proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is required. Working knowledge of French is encouraged. Compensation Expected compensation: $120K - $150K CAD (British Columbia). The compensation is a good‑faith estimate and may vary based on location and role responsibilities.
