Overview We are seeking a Stabilization Centre Manager who will provide leadership and day-to-day management of the Stabilization Centre, ensuring safe, high-quality, and culturally responsive crisis stabilization services for individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges and substance use issues. What You Will Do Lead daily operations of the Centre, ensuring 24/7 safe and effective service delivery. Manage intake, stabilization, and discharge processes with a focus on cultural safety and warm hand-offs to community partners. Oversee staffing: recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, performance management, and respectful workplace culture. Ensure strict adherence to clinical and operational protocols, emergency procedures, and infection prevention standards. Manage budgets, supplies, and resources responsibly, meeting Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) reporting requirements. Embed nehiyaw teachings into care pathways, staff development, and decision-making. Build and maintain partnerships with health, social service, justice, housing, and community agencies. Collect, analyze, and report data to monitor outcomes, improve services, and support Health Services priorities. Who You Are You are an experienced leader in health or social services who thrives in fast-paced, crisis-oriented environments and understands the importance of cultural safety and community-based care. You bring: A diploma/degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or related health/behavioral science. 5 years’ progressive experience in health or social services, including 3+ years in a supervisory or management role within crisis, mental health, or substance use settings. Knowledge of crisis stabilization protocols, harm reduction, trauma-informed practice, suicide and overdose response, and First Nations health systems. Strong skills in staff management, budgeting, resource forecasting, and quality/safety oversight. Experience working with Indigenous communities and commitment to integrating cultural supports into care. Commitment to continuous learning and ethical leadership. Cultural humility and understanding of nehiyaw teachings and community protocols. Excellent communication skills and ability to write reports. Resilient and remains calm and composed in difficult situations. Conditions of Employment Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with clean abstract. Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search. Proof of immunizations and required certifications (e.g., CPI/NVCI, ASIST/safeTALK, First Aid/CPR, Naloxone). Adherence to Ochapowace Nation’s Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Privacy, Health & Safety, and Drug & Alcohol policies.
