Director of Engineering/Engineering Leader - Toronto , ON - Fully On-site


Strativ Group are currently representing a fast growing start-up organization based in Canada (Toronto) who are looking for a Director of Engineering to join their growing team.


Please note, only applicants that fulfil all of the bottom requirements will be considered:


  • You ARE open to working hands-on coding and hands-off internal SLT decision making
  • Open to travelling on-site 5 days p/w. As a start-up organization gaining great traction, this will be a fully on-site role. (no-negotiations on this)
  • Familiar with Ruby on Rails - confident enough to code in this
  • Open to a fast growing exciting start-up (previous start-up experience preferred but not a deal-breaker)
  • You are a current leader (Engineering Manager, Head of Eng, Director of Eng, CTO) with a direct report to you will be considered.


They are currently at a headcount of sub 50< and are looking to make 10 additional hires this year with strong funding in a lucrative space.


What to expect:


  • Fast 2-3 week process
  • Base Salary up to $250k CAD + generous equity (negotiable)
  • Genuine ownership of projects and recruitment going forward
  • Support from top Investors/Advisers in their industry market.
  • 4 weeks vacation
