We’re looking for a systems-oriented Recruiter to take ownership of talent acquisition and hiring practices for our growing Montreal-based team. Working closely with our operations and recruitment colleagues in Burlingame, California, you’ll work to find exceptional talent and build out various departments for our Canadian office. This role is ideal for someone early in their recruiting career who’s excited to own full-cycle recruiting, partner closely with hiring managers, and deliver a seamless candidate experience. You’ll play a key role in shaping the growth of our team and supporting our mission to redefine how people and machines determine where they are in the world. What You’ll Do Own full-cycle recruiting (sourcing → offer) across technical and non-technical roles for Xona’s Montreal-based team Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, timelines, and candidate profiles Build and maintain scalable talent acquisition processes aligned with the Burlingame, CA recruiting and operations teams Source candidates through job boards, referrals, direct outreach, and creative sourcing strategies Screen candidates and conduct interviews with a strong focus on delivering an exceptional candidate experience Coordinate interviews, feedback, and offers using Ashby Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records in the ATS Communicate clearly and professionally with candidates via email, phone, and video Support employer branding initiatives, recruiting campaigns, and hiring events (virtual and in-person) Act as a representative of Xona’s mission, values, and culture throughout the hiring process Employment Type: Contract (1 year) Required Qualifications 2–3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience (in-house or agency) Fluency in English and French (written and verbal) Strong communication skills with both candidates and internal stakeholders Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment Hands-on experience using an ATS (Ashby or similar) Proactive, collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership Full-time, onsite availability in Montreal (this role is not remote or hybrid) Desired Qualifications Experience recruiting in a startup, high-growth, or technical environment Familiarity with aerospace, satellite, GNSS, or deep-tech industries Experience sourcing candidates outside traditional talent pipelines Interest in systems, operational workflows, and recruiting process optimization Passion for space, technology, and innovation For U.S. Roles: To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e. Green Card holder), or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
