Qualifications Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Working knowledge of provincial employment standards practices. Three (3) or more years of experience in business office management. Demonstrated independent judgment and discretion in decision‑making to achieve company goals. Ability to perform or learn budget analysis and variance reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment. Driving responsibilities may be required (company vehicle or personal vehicle); valid driver’s license required. Compliance with Atria Motor Vehicle Policy standards. Responsibilities Collect and maintain resident data in company systems, including demographic and status changes, billing confirmations, and resident move‑in contracts. Manage community accounting finances; analyze and verify expenditures and budgetary matters. Interview, hire, train, develop, and evaluate assigned staff. Direct all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Coordinate with Executive Director and Human Resources Manager/Director for on‑site HR functions, including leaves, hiring, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration. Participate in month‑end close processes, accrual preparation, and general ledger analysis. Prepare operational and financial variance reports with the Executive Director. Provide training and orientation to new and existing employees. Assist in sales by conducting inquiry tours and answering general questions. Serve as community manager‑on‑duty and provide on‑call/overnight coverage as needed. Deliver high‑level customer service, including dining experiences for residents. Use judgment to address and resolve issues proactively. Ensure the business office meets quality enhancement standards and manage risk items such as workers’ compensation and vehicle licensing.
