Seasonal Store Advisor – MEC MEC, a leading outdoor retailer focused on sustainability, is looking for a Seasonal Store Advisor who is passionate about the outdoors and delights customers with exceptional service. The Role You’ll help customers discover the right gear, share product expertise, and support the store’s competitive edge. What a Day In The Life Looks Like Chat with members about products and connect them with what they’re looking for. Ask open‑ended questions to understand members’ needs. Share product knowledge and industry‑leading advice on gear, including personal recommendations. Maintain a welcoming, organized store environment. Assist with inventory management and replenishment. Promote MEC events and services. Continuously learn about new products, technology, and sustainability initiatives. Encourage Canadians to live active outdoor lives, whether it’s family camping or backcountry adventures. You Might Be Who We’re Looking For If You thrive in a diverse, inclusive, collaborative team. You possess strong knowledge of outdoor activities such as camping, cycling, or climbing. You are passionate about connecting people with quality products. You have a can‑do attitude and a willingness to learn. You demonstrate personal integrity, customer focus, initiative, teamwork and self‑development. You are warm, outgoing and genuinely love helping people. Customer service is a mindset, not just a skill. You can lift 50 lb and walk 10,000 steps per day. Previous retail or customer‑service experience is welcome, but not required. You are eager to deepen your gear knowledge and will receive training. Availability Fully available to work Saturdays or Sundays. Bonus: Availability for a variety of shifts Monday‑Friday between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm. What Do We Offer?
