Purpose and Objectives

The Director, Cloud Architecture, will be committed to the success of our customers through outstanding technology skills and commercial understanding while supporting the Sales, Delivery and ongoing strategy for our cloud services offerings. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud platforms and showcase ability to communicate clear Cloud strategy that will drive customer business value.


Reporting into the Cloud Practice Lead, this position is based remotely.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Lead Architect on Largest and most strategic enterprise clients
  • Lead a high performing Cloud Architecture team that solutions Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud (OCI) and Private Cloud (VPS) environments.
  • Work with Cloud Practice Lead to develop product level pricing strategies
  • Mature the cloud solution offerings with a focus on Managed services and opportunities for increased use of automation
  • Provide thought leadership and support strategy development for key clients.
  • Support Development of comprehensive Cloud roadmaps aligned to the business goals of key clients.
  • Bring a proactive, technical advisory voice to clients, helping to uncover improvements in their current environment and discuss emerging cloud technologies to maximize the business value of their cloud estate.
  • Work with Client Account teams (Service Delivery Managers, Account Executives) to contribute to account and project planning.
  • Proactively identify, architect and review Client proposals by working closely with Cloud Domain Architects, Cloud Engineering and Cloud delivery teams.
  • Support the development of sales and marketing collateral related to the Cloud Practice Product offerings
  • Resource assignment for pursuit and delivery as well as team capacity management
  • This role will have a 50% billable target
  • People Management - 1:1s, team meetings, present at various levels of company meetings


Required Experience


  • Migration strategies for public and private cloud leveraging cloud native or 3rd party tools as required
  • Disaster Recovery and Business continuity strategy development
  • Understanding of the Well Architected and Cloud adoption frameworks from public cloud providers
  • Leveraging PaaS solutions for solution development
  • Cloud networking fundamentals
  • Cloud Governance and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of AWS and GCP are a plus
  • Managed Services and client project delivery


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure and cloud Strategy.
  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Public and Private cloud platforms
  • Proficiency in cloud monitoring tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.
  • Strong focus on efficiency and optimization of processes through automation and standardization
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Minimum 10 years working in a managed services environment and 5 years in a Senior leadership role
