Job Description Posted Friday, January 16, 2026 at 5:00 AM | Expires Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 4:59 AM Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Director, Quality Assurance, this role will lead the development of an enterprise-wide Sanitation program that reduces risk, creates minimum company standards, supports plant teams, builds sanitation competencies, and drives overall value within the sanitation function. This role requires a level of authority that will instruct facilities on critical sanitation requirements. Key Accountabilities Access the facilities for compliance to standard and continuous improvement; Facilitate the collaborative process of program development which includes mapping, streamlining, developing effective management indicators, effective documentation of both established processes and any actions needed to get there; Manage and support the change management related to implementation of the new processes; Measure and regularly report on sanitation specific KPIs; Develop and maintain training standards and programs; Support and build sanitation team competencies; Standardized cleaning procedures for like equipment; Liaison with 3rd party contract cleaners; Leverage chemical suppliers for cost savings initiatives, best practices and training/audit support; Establish minimum plant level sanitation governance (monthly on sites, sanitation meetings, CIs); Support energy savings related to electric, water and surcharges and identify other savings opportunities related to chemical, labour and 3rd party contracts; Stay current on best practices that can add value at Sofina; Support Operations and Engineering on hygienic design of building and equipment as well as construction risk mitigation. Requirements Diploma or Degree in science or an equivalent combination of experience and training; 4-6 years’ experience in a progressively senior Sanitation role in food industry; Experience leading learning teams: Formal supervisory/leadership experience is a must; Demonstrated ability and experience in developing Sanitation programs and processes across multiple sites; Strong people skills: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to coach and motivate; Effective data collection and analytical skills; Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; Up to 70% travel required within Canada. Hiring Range: CAD$95,800 -$145,800 Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus up to 16.5% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions. This position is eligible for travel reimbursement. Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity. This position is currently an active vacancy.
