Bakery Lab Sanitation Associate

Embassy Ingredients is seeking a motivated Sanitation Worker to ensure our R&D Bakery Lab meets the highest health and safety standards. You will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining equipment, surfaces, and areas including prep stations, ovens, and storage areas. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated, able to work in a fast-paced environment independently and can take initiative for cleaning tasks in the lab.

**Working Hours**: 10am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday

**What you would be responsible for**:

- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing bakery equipment, including scales, mixers, material containers, ovens, and counters at the end of day.
- Sweeping, moping, and wiping down drawers, shelves, walls, and workstations.
- Loading and unloading the commercial dishwasher multiple times per day to ensure utensils and mixing bowls are ready for the bakery team.
- Wiping down all drawer doors, shelves, and material containers to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensuring all areas are sanitized and ready for the next day while adhering to food safety regulations and Embassy’s cleaning standards.
- Being a helping hand as required, anticipating the cleaning requirements of the lab and taking initiative with tasks - if you see something, do something.
- Maintaining cleanliness of storage areas and assisting with inventory of cleaning supplies and notifying the Manager when restocking is needed.

**What Embassy is looking for**:

- 1-3 years of experience in a cleaning or sanitation role, preferably in a food production environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing techniques and materials.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift and move heavy equipment and cleaning supplies.
