Summary Pastry Cook 2 (Joni Dinner Service) plays a key role in the pastry department, supporting the Pastry Chef in producing high‑quality desserts and specialty items. This position requires strong technical skills, consistency, creativity, and the ability to lead by example during service. Pastry Cook 2 (Joni Dinner Service) ensures that all pastry items meet the restaurant’s standards for flavor, presentation, and timing. Responsibilities Prepare, bake, and finish a wide range of pastries, desserts, and specialty items. Execute recipes with precision while maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. Assist in developing new menu items, seasonal specials, and plated dessert concepts. Manage daily mise en place and ensure the pastry station is fully stocked and organized. Maintain established standards of presentation and portion control. Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory according to FIFO procedures. Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to coordinate timing and service flow. Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Ensure equipment is used safely and maintained properly. Qualifications 3 years of professional pastry experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced kitchen environment Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays Motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
