Overview Following is an overview of deliverables: select and incorporate available software programs; design detailed programs, flowcharts, and diagrams indicating mathematical computation and sequence of machine operations necessary to copy and process data and print the results; translate detailed flow charts into coded machine instructions and confer with technical personnel in planning programs; verify accuracy and completeness of programs by preparing sample data, and testing them by means of system acceptance test runs made by operating personnel; correct program errors by revising instructions or altering the sequence of operations; test instructions, and assemble specifications, flow charts, diagrams, layouts, programming and operating instructions to document applications for later modification or reference; create and modify code and software; create and modify screens and reports; design methods and procedures for small computer systems, and sub-systems of larger systems; produce forms, manuals, programs, data files, and procedures for systems and/or applications; and perform any other work related to this category. Technical Criteria Demonstrated experience or education with one of the following languages: ADA, Java, C#, C++ Education Must have: University degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development or similar discipline Lived Experience Indigenous lived experience is an integral part of this position. The role will have a closer relationship with the Indigenous Community in Canada and for Government of Canada positions that are part of the PSIB-Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business or IPP-Indigenous Participation Plans. Candidates will be required to have Indigenous lived experience from Canada’s Indigenous community to perform the role.
