Compensation Grade Grade 5 Workplace Arrangements Hybrid remote/onsite schedule with on‑site presence at our Distribution Centres in Johnstown and Brockville, Ontario 4 days a week. Job Description & Responsibilities Act as the primary HR advisor for managers and supervisors; guide them through employee‑related issues and explain company policies and provincial employment laws. Collaborate with business units to investigate concerns and deliver HR training sessions. Communicate and train on HR systems, programs and processes supporting functional areas. Ensure compliance with HR policies, labour legislation, and identify risks for escalation. Resolve concerns with HR Ops and COEs, providing feedback to the HR Business Partner. Provide coaching, counselling and responses on employee relations and labour relations programs. Build trusted relationships as a proactive HR advisor using best practices to drive engagement. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Human Resources or related discipline; or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years in an HR role, including 2 years in employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution (including Ministry of Labour and Human Rights claims). Strong relationship‑building skills with business leaders. Excellent written communication and attention to detail. Effective “positive” communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational and time‑management skills; ability to meet deadlines. Decision‑making and critical‑thinking abilities. Proficiency with provincial employment law, policies and regulations. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Highest professional and personal integrity standards. Assets You May Have Bilingualism (English & French).
