Industrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) - Relocation to Sept-Îles Join BBA Consultants as an Industrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) in Sept-Îles. The role focuses on project and client development in the mining, metals, and energy sectors, working closely with offices in Labrador City, Montréal, and Mont‑Saint‑Hilaire. Overview As part of BBA’s local multidisciplinary team, you’ll assist industrial clients in the energy and mining markets with operations, maintenance, and growth projects. You’ll perform site surveys, equipment tests, commissioning, and participate in various project stages while ensuring quality professional services and maintaining strong client relationships. Responsibilities Assist industrial clients in day‑to‑day operations: troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, staff training, shutdown planning, and asset management. Perform site surveys. Participate in equipment testing and commissioning. Conduct short‑circuit, power‑flow, protection coordination, arc‑flash hazard studies, harmonic content analyses, and steady‑state/transient analyses in industrial power systems. Design and interpret various electrical drawings. Draft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications, and reports. Attend internal or client coordination meetings. Participate in project management activities (costs, schedules, labor, etc.). Qualifications & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Member of Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or equivalent). Three or fewer years of relevant engineering experience. Available for short‑term assignments between Sept‑Îles and Labrador City, and across Québec and Canada. Knowledge of MS Office Suite and other database applications. Advanced English and French proficiency; ability to draft technical documents in both languages. Assets: Graduate from Institut en génie de l’énergie électrique (IGEE); onsite experience with industrial networks; knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME, or EMTP‑RV software.
