Technician/Designer, Industrial Electrical Engineering Join to apply for the Technician/Designer, Industrial Electrical Engineering role at BBA Consultants . Your future role on our tea You’ll be part of our team specialised in electrical apparatus installation. You’ll work with experts and be exposed to a variety of situations to develop your technical skills in designing electrical rooms, cable racks and substations for various industrial clients. Responsibilities Participate in project conceptual studies Actively participate in computer‑assisted design of 2D and 3D plans and drafting specifications and details based on guidelines from a senior engineer or technician Perform design calculations Prepare material lists and bills of materials according to codes, standards, drawings and other established methods in accordance with BBA’s quality system requirements Perform technical information surveys Monitor contractors on site Help commission and troubleshoot systems Qualifications Diploma of college studies (DCS) in Building Mechanics, Electrical Engineering or Architecture or a diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in Building Design Excellent knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec Asset: Knowledge of the SmartPlant application Core values Results‑driven Rigorous and ethical Willingness to work together while having fun Desire to be in the thick of the action Ability to see beyond established standards Constantly seeking sustainable and agile solutions Benefits Annual base salary Annual premium program for regular employees Access to a time bank On‑site mobility premium Cellphone Program Group insurance plan starting day one including short‑term and long‑term disability insurance for regular employees Retirement saving plan for regular employees Vacation and sick leave Premium offered through the Employee Referral program About BBA For over 40 years, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of engineering to serve our clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.
