Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer Job Type: Contract, Full-time Location: Hybrid - Toronto, Ontario, Canada Job Summary: Join our customer’s team as a Sr. Data Engineer within the dynamic Supply Chain and Manufacturing group, tackling impactful projects for leading healthcare and pharma clients. This on-site opportunity in Toronto is perfect for a collaborative problem-solver who values clear, effective communication. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the organization’s data warehouse or data lake. Integrate and orchestrate data from databases, APIs, streaming platforms, and key supply chain systems to create cohesive, reliable pipelines. Implement real-time, batch, and incremental data integration and processing solutions with stringent data quality validation. Develop and maintain monitoring systems and alerts to proactively ensure data accuracy, transparency, and reliability. Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot data storage solutions across relational, NoSQL, and distributed file systems. Write robust, production-ready code and comprehensive tests, ensuring high-quality deliverables through code and design reviews. Collaborate closely with clients, cross-functional teams, and junior engineers to understand requirements, mentor, and deliver innovative data solutions. Required Skills and Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a data engineer, focused on scalable, high-performance supply chain or manufacturing data systems. Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, and experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Hands‑on expertise in ETL and data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi). Solid experience designing data pipelines, storage solutions, and distributed computing frameworks. Strong knowledge of supply chain/manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP, MES, LIMS, OMP, Kinaxis, Anaplan). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to engage stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or relevant technical field. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in data engineering such as Azure Data Engineer or AWS Certified Data Engineer. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, code versioning, and application monitoring best practices. Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and data lake architectures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
