About this role We are recruiting for a Director, Project Planning Services. Here's how your role will strengthen our team. This role is responsible for driving excellence in construction preplanning and execution, fostering a culture of safety and inclusion, and optimizing business practices to support organizational growth. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in project planning, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. This position can be based out of one of our BC offices: Kelowna, Burnaby, or Victoria Your responsibilities Lead a culture of safety, collaboration, and respect, while fostering an inclusive and high-performance environment Oversee construction preplanning activities, including BIM, VDC, and Revizto workflows, ensuring standardization of processes, tools, and consistency and efficiency in deliverables Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with organizational strategy Continuously evaluate and optimize internal business practices to improve productivity and quality Lead strategic initiatives that enhance preplanning and execution Manage departmental and project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and accurate forecasting Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and industry representative Drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to optimize business practices and expand market presence Your experience and skills Minimum 10 years of previous experience in construction, or a related industry P.Eng., PMP Certification, Gold Seal in Project Management, Project Management Certificate, or equivalent education is ideal Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives Sophisticated knowledge of construction preplanning Strong understanding of BIM, VDC, and project planning technologies Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Deep understanding of construction industry trends, technologies, and best practices About Houle As BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future. Salary range : $155,000 - $180,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
